Jewelry designer Paul Morelli will preview his new collection at the CIRCA Accessories Salon at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. We recently sat with Paul to find out what influences his style:Name: Paul Morelli
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
When did you first start designing jewelry?
1980.
What was the inspiration for your current collection?
The Art Nouveau movement was my inspiration for my current collections. I love the harmony between the hardness of a structure and the curved lines inspired by nature.
What will you be showcasing at the CIRCA Accessories Salon?
Art Nouveau, Anemone Nouveau, Precious Pebbles, and more.

Who is your style icon?
My Mother, Modestina Morelli.
What is your personal favorite piece of jewelry?
There are 3 pendants I have design over the years that are my favorites- One of them was made in the 90’s (a pill box), one in 2001 (a locket) and one on 2009 (a magnifying eyeglass). I will be showcasing them together in the salon.
As one of the largest ‘recyclers’ of jewelry in the world, CIRCA is committed to sustainability by reducing the need for excessive mining of gemstones and precious metals. What are your thoughts on sustainability in jewelry and fashion?
Nature, along with so many other forms of beauty, inspires my jewelry collections all the time. I don’t design based on trends- I design based on my idea of timelessness. My jewelry is made in a sustainable way, by hand in our workshop in Philadelphia, and become heirlooms.
